Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) is embarking on a massive expansion scheme, and is set to open two new themed attractions at Universal Studios Singapore: Minion Park and Super Nintendo World.
The two new attractions are sure to excite fans of the two franchises.
RWS will be investing around $4.5 billion into these non-casino projects.
Visitors may expect the opening of Super Nintendo World Singapore to take place between 2020 to 2025. It will be an immersive experience into the popular Nintendo world, including themed rides, shops, and eateries.
Although the details are not yet specific, we can expect it to be similar to the Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Japan, which was announced in 2015 and expected to open in 2020.
Mario Kart ride?
What’s a Nintendo World without one of Nintendo’s most popular games- Mario Kart- as a themed ride?
During the groundbreaking ceremony of USJ’s Super Nintendo World in 2017, President of Universal Creative Mark Woodbury noted that the Mario Kart experience is a key part of Super Nintendo World and that they would make it an attraction like no other.
Again, there are no concrete plans for such a thing announced, but one can hope.
However, one thing is for sure- Nintendo World, along with the other huge developments to RWS (such as a fourth tower to Marina Bay Sands) will further draw visitors to the resort with their offerings.
