Public transport is pretty affordable in Singapore, but who would say no to free things?

Commuters in Singapore can now get a free ride by doing 20 squats in under 40 seconds. As long as you’re above 1.2m tall, the machine will work for you.

If you can complete the task, you will win a single-trip ticket that is usable only on the day itself.

The #DOsquatschallenge campaign is currently being run by insurance company Prudential.

According to Lianhe Wanbao, Prudential Singapore Chief Customer Officer Goh Theng Kiat, said that the company hopes to encourage Singaporeans to stay healthy as their life expectancy increases.

At least 600 commuters have tried this challenge since its launch on March 21.

Currently, the booth will be at Tampines MRT until April 3, and subsequently moved to City Hall MRT, where it will remain until April 7.
