10 men arrested for rioting at Geylang

Ten men have been arrested for suspected involvement in rioting along Geylang Road.

In a video posted by Singapore Incidents on Thursday (4 April), a large group of people were seen fighting along Geylang Road. The commotion consisted mostly of shouting and shoving.

According to CNA, after investigating, police officers from the Criminal Investigation Department and Bedok Police Division established the identities of the men and arrested them on Friday and Saturday.

Investigations are ongoing and if convicted of rioting, the men face up to seven years’ jail and caning, the police said.
